We went to fly radio control airplanes while we had family visiting and so while kids were getting a bit bored I decided to make a little competition to see who could find the biggest dandelion stem. As you can see from this field they had plenty to choose from and here in AK, they do grow quite big. As you can see Sam was up for it.

Now aren't those some fine specimen? Do your dandelions grow this big? I should have laid a quarter or something by it so you could see it in comparison.
